Plain, full-fat, pasteurized yogurt fits easily into toddler meals and snacks, on its own or mixed with fruit, oats, or other foods. Choose unsweetened versions and sweeten with mashed or chopped fruit instead of added sugar.

Serve ripe strawberries in small bite-size pieces. Slice larger berries, and quarter smaller whole ones lengthwise so no firm, round piece remains. Supervise while eating.

A whole strawberry is round and firm enough to block a small airway. Cut or mash it so no whole, firm berry is offered. Slice into thin pieces or quarter lengthwise, and choose ripe, soft fruit.
Mash the strawberry and stir it through the yogurt.
