How to serve by age

6-9 months

Prep:

Serve large quartered pieces or wedges of ripe dragon fruit, skin removed. Roll in shredded coconut or hemp seeds for grip if too slippery.

Cut:

Quartered or wedged, no skin.

9-12 months

Prep:

Offer bite-sized pieces of ripe dragon fruit, skin removed, for the developing pincer grasp. Larger spears or sections also work for taking bites.

Cut:

Bite-sized pieces or large spears, no skin.

12-18 months

Prep:

Serve large wedges or bite-sized pieces of ripe dragon fruit, skin removed, as finger food or for utensil practice. Halves in skin work for spoon practice too.

Cut:

Wedges, bite-sized pieces, or halves in skin for scooping.
