Mix finely shredded dried coconut into warm cereal or other soft foods. Coconut oil, milk, or cream work well in oatmeal, rice, sauces, or soups.
Finely shredded only. Avoid large coconut chips or flakes at this age, they can be sharp and hard to manage in the mouth.
Continue with finely shredded coconut sprinkled on or mixed into food. If you have young coconut, offer pinky-finger-sized strips that mash with gentle pressure.
Finely shredded, or pinky-finger strips of soft young coconut only. Skip mature coconut chips for now.
Use shredded coconut, oil, milk, or cream as desired. Coconut milk or water can be offered as an occasional drink in small amounts to build cup skills.
