6-9 months

Prep:

Sprinkle finely ground cinnamon on cooked fruit or vegetables, mix into warm cereals or coconut rice, or stir into marinades and sauces.

Cut:

Finely ground; or whole sticks removed before serving.

9-12 months

Prep:

Add whole cinnamon sticks while cooking curries or grain dishes to share with baby, then remove the sticks before serving the food.

Cut:

Ground or sticks (removed before serving).

12-18 months

Prep:

Use ground cinnamon freely in recipes from curried vegetables to jerk sauces, keema, or vegetarian pho. Cinnamon sticks flavor cooking liquids; remove before serving.

Cut:
