6-9 months

Prep:

Husk, wash, roughly chop, and cook tomatillos until soft. Stir into scoopable foods, or blend into a salsa to drizzle on baby's food.

Cut:

Cooked, chopped or as a sauce, no husk.

9-12 months

Prep:

Serve husked, cooked tomatillo in quarters. Roasted ridges help baby grip. Or use in salsa over eggs, meats, or tacos.

Cut:

Cooked quarters, no husk, or as sauce.

12-18 months

Prep:

Offer husked, cooked tomatillo in bite-sized pieces or wedges. Raw works too, but blend, finely chop, or thinly slice to reduce choking risk.

Cut:

Cooked bite-sized or wedges; raw blended or thinly sliced.
