Serve bite-sized pieces of soft corn tortilla and low-sodium fillings for pincer practice. Avoid cheese and meat cubes. Continue avoiding hard-shelled tacos.

Bite-sized pieces of soft tortilla and fillings; no cubed meat or cheese.

12-18 months

Prep:

Offer bite-sized fillings and soft tortillas whole or in finger-width strips for tearing practice. When ready, try a small soft taco. Continue avoiding hard shells.

Bite-sized pieces or finger-width tortilla strips; small soft tacos when ready.
