6-9 months

Prep:

Cook until soft. Finely chop and fold into soft foods like porridge, or flatten a whole cooked pod as a teether.

Cut:

Finely chopped, or a whole flattened cooked pod.

9-12 months

Prep:

Cook until soft, then chop the pods into small pieces to serve on their own or in a meal.

Cut:

Small chopped pieces baby can pick up.

12-18 months

Prep:

Serve raw or cooked, bite-sized, or whole pods if your toddler chews well. Expect lots of spitting from the fibrous pods.

Bite-sized pieces, or whole pods if chewing is solid.
