How to serve by age

6-9 months

Cooked, mashed, or large soft slices.

9-12 months

Prep:

Move down in size: quartered or thin slices of cooked, soft radish for the pincer grasp. Small amounts of grated raw also expose flavor.

Cut:

Cooked quarters or thin slices, or small amounts grated raw.

12-18 months

Prep:

Offer thinly sliced or grated raw radish, or continue cooked bite-sized pieces. Pre-load a fork or spoon to encourage utensil practice.

Cut:

Raw thin slices or grated, or cooked bite-sized.
