6-9 months

Prep:

Quail eggs are tricky to crack and cook at this age. Focus on bigger conventional eggs in fully cooked omelets. Save quail eggs for when pincer grasp emerges.

Skip in favor of larger eggs at this age.

9-12 months

Prep:

Hard-boil quail eggs and serve halved or quartered for the developing pincer grasp. Make sure eggs are fully cooked, never raw or runny.

Cut:

Hard-boiled quail egg halves or quarters.

12-18 months

Prep:

Continue with hard-boiled quail egg halves. Add them to curries and other dishes for a nutrition boost. Always serve fully cooked.

Cut:

Hard-boiled halves; mixed into dishes.
