How to serve by age

6-9 months

Prep:

Serve pasteurized paneer in long rectangles about the size of two adult fingers. Or fold crumbled paneer into curries, dals, or fritters that are easy to grab and munch.

Long rectangles two-fingers wide, or crumbled into easy-to-grab dishes.

9-12 months

Prep:

Serve crumbles or small bite-sized pieces of pasteurized paneer cut from a flat slice. Offer plain or in curries or dal seasoned with family spices. Long rectangles still work.

12-18 months

Prep:

Serve cubes or matchsticks of pasteurized paneer plain or in shared meals. Stay close and model bites. If larger pieces feel risky, continue with bite-sized or crumbled paneer.

Cubes or matchsticks plain or in dishes. Bite-sized or crumbled stays a safer fallback.
