Usually introduced around 6 months
Cook de-spined nopales until soft, cut into strips about two adult fingers wide. Or offer the whole pad to munch, or chop into omelets.
Cooked, soft strips, whole pad, or chopped.
Once the pincer grasp develops, offer bite-sized pieces of cooked, chopped nopales (alongside strips for biting practice). Goes well with scrambled eggs.
Cooked bite-sized or strips.
Continue bite-sized cooked nopales as finger food or with utensils. Raw nopales also work for chewing practice. Strips and whole pads OK now.
Cooked or raw, bite-sized, strips, or whole pads.
