6-9 months

Prep:

Always bound into a soft scoopable. Loose grains are messy but safe at this age.

9-12 months

Prep:

Serve cooked millet on its own or in dosa, fritters, idli, meatballs, or pancakes broken into bite-sized pieces.

Cut:

Press grains with the back of a fork to clump. Bite-sized patty pieces.

12-18 months

Prep:

Serve cooked millet alongside savory sauces, stews, or stir-fries. Press it with a fork to clump and pair with a spoon.

Cut:

Pressed grains or paired with sauce. Spoon practice encouraged.
