6-9 months

Prep:

Spread a thin layer of pasteurized mascarpone on toast for baby to grab. Add to egg strips, frittatas, or stir into mashed vegetables or grains. Avoid mascarpone with added honey.

Cut:

Thin spread on toast strip, mixed into eggs, vegetables, or grains.

9-12 months

Prep:

As fine motor control develops, dip fruit or vegetable pieces in a bowl of pasteurized mascarpone. Continue to add to egg strips, frittatas, or stir into mashed vegetables or grains.

Cut:

In a bowl as a dip, mixed into eggs or grains, or thin spread.

12-18 months

Prep:

Continue offering pasteurized mascarpone plain, stirred into mashed vegetables, in sauces, stuffing, or batters for muffins, pancakes, and quick breads.

Cut:

Plain, mixed into mashed dishes, sauces, stuffing, or batters.
