How to serve by age

6-9 months

Prep:

Offer cooked kohlrabi wedges to munch (peel mature ones), or mashed kohlrabi as a binder for grains, lentils, or seeds.

Cut:

Cooked wedges (peel if mature), or mashed.

9-12 months

Prep:

Move down in size: cooked kohlrabi in bite-sized pieces, or finely grated raw. Cooked mashed still works if preferred.

Cut:

Cooked bite-sized, or raw finely grated.

12-18 months

Prep:

Once biting and tearing develops, raw kohlrabi grated or paper-thin. Use cooked or grated in patties, fritters, dumplings, or pancakes.

Cut:

Raw grated or paper-thin, or in patties/fritters.
