6-9 months

Prep:

Avoid juice as a drink unless a healthcare provider recommends it. Breast or human milk, formula, and small water are baby's only drinks at this age.

Cut:

Not recommended as a drink at this age.

12-18 months

Prep:

Minimize or skip juice. If offering, serve no more than 4 oz (120 ml) per day, ideally diluted with water, in an open or straw cup at one sitting.

Cut:

Up to 120 ml/day, diluted, in open or straw cup.

2 years and up

Prep:

You may offer up to 4 oz (120 ml) of juice a day, ideally diluted with water, in an open cup or straw. Aim for moderation given the high sugar content.
