How to serve by age

6-9 months

Prep:

Offer cooked, deboned arctic char in strips the size of two adult fingers together, or flake and mix into mashed vegetables or yogurt.

Cut:

Strips two adult fingers wide, all bones and skin removed.

9-12 months

Prep:

Offer bite-sized pieces of cooked, deboned fish, fish cakes, or a fish salad mixed with mashed avocado, mayonnaise, or yogurt.

Cut:

Bite-sized pieces or longer strips, no bones or skin.

12-18 months

Prep:

Serve cooked, deboned fish in strips, bite-sized pieces, cakes, or flaked into other foods. Great age for utensil practice.

Cut:

Strips, bite-sized pieces, or flakes; smoked versions in moderation.
