Choose very ripe apricots that mash easily between thumb and finger. Remove the pit. Skin can stay on for grip; if peeled, roll halves in shredded coconut.

Offer thin slices of soft, ripe apricot with skin on or off. If pieces are too slippery for the pincer grasp, keep serving halves.
