Introducing Shellfish to your baby

Fully cooked, minced fine. Shrimp, crab, and lobster can be offered once baby is handling other proteins. Cut to pea-size pieces.
Hives, swelling, vomiting, wheezing. Shellfish allergy often persists into adulthood.
Mild: stop and call pediatrician. Moderate or severe: call emergency services.
1-2 times per week once tolerated.
